Setting a Group as a Default Trust Relation (Deprecated)

This topic describes the procedure for setting a group as a default trust relation.

Before you begin this task: You must have the role of Security Administrator to set a trust relation as the default group.

All service groups that trust a certificate are grouped together to form a trust relation. Service groups in a trust relation can exchanged signed SAML assertions. Every newly created service group is placed in the default trust relation automatically.

  1. On CUSP > My Applications, click (Security Administration). The Security Administration window appears.
  2. Click the Service Group Trust tab. All service groups belonging to a group are displayed in a column. A description for the collection of service groups is displayed on top of the column. The description is optional since it is for the understanding of the user alone and has no functional meaning. All certificates associated with the collection of service group are displayed below the description.
  3. Right-click the description section of the group you want to set as default and click Set Default.
Note: A default trust relation cannot be deleted.
  4. Click to save.
The trust relation is now the default group.

Note: At any point during configuration, click to revert changes to the last saved state.
